The Hulk Will Speak in Thor: Ragnarok

The Marvel panel at San Diego Comic Con is always one of the highlights on the Hall H panel line-up and the SDCC 2017 version did not disappoint.

With all of the releases (which you can check out here) there are some that shake the ground more than others; the news that the HULK WILL SPEAK is one of those moments.

Mark Ruffalo gave the gathered masses a major storyline on Saturday evening revealing a lot about the Hulk, and what may remain of Bruce Banner.

"It's a little different Hulk than we've seen. Hulk refuses to turn back into Banner and he's actually enjoying his time on Sakaar because he is a gladiator champion of the world of Sakaar which means he kicks a lot of A!" Ruffalo said. "He's enjoying his life for once and he'll be damned if he's going to go back to Banner."

"He's a little perma-Hulked. He's starting to be able to, because he's been the Hulk for two years now, he has the vocabulary of a two year old so we have a speaking Hulk. Can I say that? We may or may not have a speaking Hulk in Thor 3 where everyone may or may not die."

Ruffalo tried to backtrack from his statement with the typical game of maybe or maybe not, but the truth was revealed in the first half of that statement.

The evolution of The Hulk within the MCU is something that will be curious to see as the expansion towards the resolution of this run of films.

In Thor: Ragnarok, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok – the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization – at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first, he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger – The Incredible Hulk!

Thor: Ragnarok is directed by Taika Waititi from a screenplay by Eric Pearson, and stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Karl Urban, Mark Ruffalo, and Anthony Hopkins.

Thor: Ragnarok opens in theaters on November 3, 2017.
