Venom Prime 1 Statue Revealed

Just over a week from revealing an Anti-Venom statue, Eddie Brock is finding himself hiding in the symbiote of another statute: Venom.

Produced by Prime 1 Studio, this Venom: Dark Origin statue will come with two interchangeable portraits. An exclusive version, sold by Sideshow Collectibles, includes a third portrait exclusive to the retailer. Standing approximately 32 inches tall, the alien symbiote is standing an extremely detail base that includes sewer drains, pipes, and various homages to his history as a member of the Spider-family.

Currently available for pre-order through the Sideshow Collectibles website, the statue retails for $899.

Eddie Brock served as the symbiote's original host for the vast majority of the character's lifespan in comics. Starting with his appearance in The Amazing Spider-Man #651 in 2011, the Venom symbiote was acquired by the United States government and subsequently bonded with Peter Parker's former classmate Flash Thompson. As Agent Venom, the two were paired for six years until Mike Costa and Gerardo Sandoval's latest Venom run.

With Marvel reverting to legacy numbering later this year, the symbiote is slated to bond with its original host, Eddie Brock, in Venom #150.
