Sean Gunn On Kraglin And Rocket's Roles In Avengers: Infinity War And Beyond

Will Kraglin be around for Avengers: Infinity War and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3? We can't say for sure -- but the actor portaying him will be.

In a recent interview at Heroes & Villains FanFest in London, Kraglin actor Sean Gunn was asked if he had filmed any scenes for the currently in production Avengers: Infinity War, to which he simply responded, "No, I have not."

However, Gunn has been required to put some work in another front for Avengers: Infinity War. The actor provides the motion capture aspect of Guardians character Rocket Raccoon, who will be crossing paths with the Avengers in their third outing.

"I can tell you that the process for Rocket has been very similar to the Guardian movies," Gunn said. "If anything, it's even more painstaking, because there are even more CGI characters around. In Guardians 2, Baby Groot was there the whole time, but the rest of the time was mostly with other live actors. In Avengers, there are several other characters who are CGI enhanced that I've interacted with, which makes the process a little more deliberate."

While Gunn can't comment on Kraglin's future, in part because he doesn't know, the actor expects his character who was thoroughly developed in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"I would say so," Gunn said. "As far as Avengers goes, I couldn't comment on that. And in regards to Guardians 3, I don't know. I don't even think it's been decided yet."

"I know where [Kraglin] lands at the end of [Guardians of the Galaxy] Vol. 2. The possibilities for his future are super interesting, but I don't know which direction they're going to go yet. I know the third movie is still in the planning process, very early, so my guess is as good as yours. I'm happy to do whatever happens."
