X-Men: Apocalypse Blu-Ray Release Date And Special Features Revealed

After pulling in over a half billion at the worldwide box office, 20th Century Fox's X-Men: Apocalypse is ready for its home release.

It'll arrive on Digital HD on September 9 and onBlu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, and DVD on October 4, according to Entertainment Weekly. If you choose to pre-order it, you will receive a limited-edition Dazzler vinyl record cover.

How about the special features? They'll include "deleted and extended scenes (with optional introductions by [director Bryan] Singer), a gag reel, a wrap party video, audio commentary by Singer and screenwriter Simon Kinberg, a behind-the-scenes documentary, and a photo gallery."

Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

The cast features James McAvoy as Charles Xavier, Michael Fassbender as Magneto, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, Tye Sheridan as Cyclops, Sophie Turner as Jean Grey, Olivia Munn as Psylocke, Lucas Till as Havok, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler, Alexandra Shipp as Storm, Josh Helman as William Stryker, Lana Condor as Jubilee, and Ben Hardy as Angel.

The film is directed by Bryan Singer, based on a story by Singer, Simon Kinberg, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris. The script was penned by Kinberg.
