04/26/2017 09:17 am EDT

Of course, on Alien Day, the official rating for the upcoming Covenant film was released. And, in a move that surprised no one, the film was given an R-rating by the MPAA.

The film was officially given the R-rating for "Sci-fi violence, bloody images, language and some sexuality/nudity." This is cause for rejoice, because that sounds EXACTLY like an Alien movie. It turns out Ridley Scott wasn't lying when he said Covenant would be much more like Aliens than Prometheus.

A24's upcoming horror film It Comes At Night has also received an R-rating. The Joel Edgerton flick has rated R for "violence, disturbing images and language." The film comes from the studio that has produced recent hits like Moonlight, The Green Room, and The Witch. Check out the trailer for It Comes At Night here.

Be on the lookout for more Alien news throughout the day, as April 26 has been set aside to celebrate all things Ripley-related.

Director Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created, with ALIEN: COVENANT, a new chapter in his groundbreaking ALIEN franchise. The crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the "synthetic" David, survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition. When they uncover a threat beyond their imagination, they must attempt a harrowing escape.

The cast features Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, Jussie Smollett, Callie Hernandez, Nathaniel Dean, Alexander England, and Benjamin Rigby.
