While Warner Bros.' Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice didn't open as big as some Marvel movies have here in North America, the film brought in $424 million in its opening weekend, making it the biggest worldwide opening for any comic book movie in history.

Ahead of the movie are only Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Jurassic World, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 for all-time global openings. Batman V Superman comes in ahead of Furious 7 and both Avengers movies, each of which earned between $390 and $400 million in their opening frames.

In North America, the film enjoyed the sixth-largest opening weekend of all time, behind The Force Awakens, Jurassic World, both Avengers movies and Iron Man 3.

Have you seen Dawn of Justice yet? If so, go rate it in the ComicBook.com Movie Database for a chance to win your very own Armored Batman figure!

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is now playing in theaters.
