All eyes are on Disney's live-action Beauty and the Beast, which has just landed in theaters and currently sports a 71.00 on ComicBook.com's composite rankings. There is one person in particular though that is more captivated by one of Disney's other icons, that being the beautiful Ariel from The Little Mermaid. The star in question is actress Lindsay Lohan, who would love to be a part of the live action remake if Beauty and the Beast director Bill Condon were to direct.

Lohan said on Instagram that she would do the project if Condon directed, her sister Aliana sang the theme song, and Kristen Graham played Ursula. In an interview with Vulture, Condon was asked for his thoughts on Lohan's comments. saying "I know! It was sweet, it was very sweet of her. I hope she gets to make that movie! I feel like I was so lucky in getting this crown jewel [with Beauty and the Beast], but I'll go see her in Little Mermaid, absolutely."

Actually, she's not the only star who's expressed interest in The Little Mermaid, as Beauty and the Beast star Audra McDonald (who plays Madame de Garderobe), would love to be involved as well. She said "If they made a live-action Little Mermaid, I'd want to be Ursula. That would be fun role to play. I would love that. If there's a hat, I'll catapult my name into it however I possibly can."

Beauty and the Beast is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle's enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast's hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within.

Beauty and the Beast stars Emma Watson as Belle; Dan Stevens as the Beast; Luke Evans as Gaston, the handsome, but shallow villager who woos Belle; Oscar winner Kevin Kline as Maurice, Belles eccentric, but lovable father; Josh Gad as Lefou, Gaston's long-suffering aide-de-camp; Golden Globe nominee Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, the candelabra; Oscar nominee Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, the harpsichord; Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, the feather duster; six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald as Madame Garderobe, the wardrobe; Oscar nominee Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, the mantel clock; and two-time Academy Award winner Emma Thompson as the teapot, Mrs. Potts.

Beauty and the Beast is in theaters now.
