D-War, the 2007 cult-favorite monster movie, is getting a sequel.
Shim Hyung-rae, who directed the so-bad-it's-good original, is releasing D-War II in the summer of 2017, io9 reports.
The project has about a $77 million budget and is a co-production between China and South Korea. Shim promised that the visual effects in the film would be Hollywood-level.
The article says that the film's subtitle is Mysteries of the Dragon, and it takes place in 1969, during the race to be the first country on the Moon.
