The Dark Knight Trilogy has rightfully earned its place as one of the best movie trilogies of all time, thanks to the masterful work of writer/director Christopher Nolan and the talented cast and crew that surrounded him.

As the new DC Extended Universe moves forward with its own version of Batman (Ben Affleck), The Joker (Jared Leto), and other characters Nolan's trilogy made famous, The Dark Knight Trilogy becomes more and more of a beloved relic of the past.

However, the three film's in Nolan's Batman series certainly won't look like relics, as they will each be getting a 4K conversion, overseen by Nolan himself!

Batman-News spotted a report from BadTaste. It that has Nolan talking about plans for the 4K HDR remastering of The Dark Knight Trilogy. The acclaimed director was excited about being able ot show audiences something closer to the 6K imagery he filmed the series in - with those now-famous IMAX scenes clocking in at 18K resolution.
