Will Smith has revealed a photo of him and other cast members of Disney's live-action Aladdin, on the first day production.
As you can see in the Facebook post below, Smith was grouped up with fellow castmates Mena Massoud, Naomi Scott (Power Rangers) and Marwan Kenzari, who will all be plying principal roles in the film. Take a look at the photo and read on below for more info on Aladdin!
Snatch and Sherlock Holmes director Guy Ritchie is directing Aladdin, with a script from longtime Tim Burton collaborator, John August (Corpse Bride, Big Fish). In the film, Smith plays the Genie, while Massoud will play Aladdin. Princess Jasmine is played by Scott (obviously), while Kenzari will be the villainous Jafar. Aladdin will be a musical like its animated counterpart, and actor Billy Magnussen was recently cast in a mysterious role that was created for this live-action version.
Aladdin currently has no release date.
