Does LEGO Batman V. Superman Set Hint At Two Supermans?

A new Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice LEGO set has hit shelves and in it is not only a bunch of building blocks and LEGO Batman, but also a big question.

The sets for Batman v. Superman have been revealed and on the back page of the comic included in the new Batmobile set is a checklist of each different LEGO Batman v. Superman minifigure. The second figure listed, 76044, is Superman. He's angry. He has red eyes. The seventh, 76046, is also Superman. He's happy. He's flying around.

Aside from the different emotional appearances of these two figures is one bigger difference: The angry Superman doesn't have boots. 76046 has some very noticeable red feet, consistent with the Superman we met in Man of Steel and have seen in trailers, so far, for Dawn of Justice. 76044 is all blue.

The 76044, bootless Superman is included in the set with Armored Batman, one which showcases the famous, "Tell me, do you bleed?" scene from the movie's original trailer. Perhaps that scene has been misleading since it was first shown in Hall H back on that beautiful July Saturday morning in 2014. This LEGO set, if anything, only furthers the Superman clone fan theory. If correct, this indicates it would be the cloned Superman that Batman is about to throw down with in the rain after illuminating his Bat-Signal.

LEGO has revealed characters and plot points for movies in the past. An Iron Man 3 set showcased the attack on Tony Stark's Malibu mansion, though it didn't reveal the true Mandarin, and another set which recently leaked online, showed off a Captain America: Civil War character fans were unaware would be appearing in the film.

But, maybe, there's just two different LEGO Supermans.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters March 25, 2016.
