The Rock Honors Fate Of The Furious Success With Gym Workout

04/16/2017 10:25 pm EDT

If you're a blockbusting action hero star, then you should expect to spend lots of time at the gym. Stars like Jason Statham and Chris Evans don't get their toned physiques out of nowhere, and no star champions his gym routine like Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson. The former WWE star is no stranger to weight reps, but he has been away from the gym for a while due to Fate of the Furious promotions.

However, it looks like Johnson is back in action again. The actor finally got to break from press duties when Fate of the Furious premiered over the weekend, and Johnson did one buff workout to celebrate the film's success.

Over on Instagram, the action star posted a photo of himself at the gym looking buffer than ever. Dressed in a grey cut-off, Johnson is seen drenched in sweat. The actor posted the following caption to accompany the striking photo:

"Takin' a quick break between our Saturday sweat sets," he wrote. "My phone's blowing up and apparently, #FateOfTheFurious is the biggest global box office opening of all time."

"It's not official yet, but the moment it becomes gospel I'll let you know. If it's true, then you know gratitude is my jam and I'm SO GRATEFUL for the luv. If it's not true, then I still luv ya back, but dammit its time for me to get back to jackin' iron and carrying around my shaker cup like a little boy carrying around his blankly."

According to new reports, it looks like Johnson was told right about the Fate of the Furious. The film's global earnings this weekend have made it the highest opening ever at the international box office. The new film managed to beat out Disney's record with Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
