Elton John is in talks to join Kingsman: The Golden Circle, the sequel to 2014's surprise hit Kingsman: The Secret Service.
If the deal goes through, John will be joining cast members Taron Egerton, Julianne Moore, Halle Berry, Pedro Pascal, and Mark Strong. Though not officially announced, the studio has also hinted via a teaser poster that Colin Firth would also be returning for the sequel.
The new film will continue to follow Eggsy (Egerton), a British street tough who was taken under the wing of a family friend and superspy (Firth), and is now a member of an elite British espionage agency.
At this time it is unclear if John would be playing himself or taking on a role.
Kingsman: The Golden Circle is about to begin production in London. Matthew Vaughn will return to direct. Kingsman is based on the graphic novel The Secret Service by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons.
