Fan Trailer Friday: Harry Potter And The Cursed Child Movie Teaser Trailer

It appears that, at least at the moment, there isn't a Harry Potter and the Cursed Child movie trilogy in the works. That said, that doesn't mean fans have to give up hope that it will eventually happen, and a new fan trailer offers a glimpse of what a trailer for it could look like.

The team at Teaser Pro has put together a rather convincing teaser trailer for it, using mostly footage from the tail end of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows Part 2. While that makes up the bulk of it, there are other pieces of footage from earlier films, and they even manage to throw in the Cursed Child logo (from the current play production) towards the end. It all feels quite official, and you can view the new teaser in the video above. The video's description has been included below.

It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn't much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband and father of three school-age children. While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is an all-new adventure returning us to the wizarding world created by J.K. Rowling. Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne (The Theory of Everything) stars in the central role of wizarding world magizoologist Newt Scamander, under the direction of David Yates, who helmed the last four Harry Potter blockbusters. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt's fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them is on DVD, Blu-ray, and Digital storefronts now.
