First Look At Major Motoko Kusanagi In Ghost In The Shell Arise: Ghost Is Alive

The first images of Kaede Aono as Major Motoko Kusanagi in the Ghost in the Shell Arise: Ghost is Alive stage play have been released.

You can see four images of Aono as Kusanagi in the gallery at the bottom of the page.

The play's producers have also released a commercial revealing the play's entire core cast, seen below.

The cast includes Kaede Aono as Motoko Kusanagi, Ikkyuu Juku as Daisuke Aramaki, Ren Yagami as Batou, Kentarō Kanesaki as Togusa, Tatsuya Isaka as Ishikawa, Katsuhiko Ibuka as Paz, Ryūnosuke Matsumura as Saito, Yutaka Matsuzaki as Borma, Shingo Takasaki as Ibachi, Asana Mamoru as Kurtz, Asami Yoshikawa as Saeed, Misaki Momose as Tsuda Ema, and Keisuke Minami as Jose.

Ghost in the Shell Arise: Ghost is Alive will "for the first time in Japan" integrate 3D videos into the show. Audiences will wear 3D glasses, and the cast will interact with the videos to enhance their performance.

Ghost in the Shell Arise: Ghost is Alive is being directed by Shutaro Oku (Persona 3, Persona 4, Persona 4: The Ultimate In Mayonaka Arena, Blood-C: The Last Mind) from a script by Jun'ichi Fujisaku (Blood-C, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex).

Ghost in the Shell Arise: Ghost is Alive will run Nov. 5-15 at the Tokyo Geijutsu Gekijō Playhouse. Tickets go on sale Aug. 25.
