Fox Launches X-Men Movies App And Superfan Contest

20th Century Fox has launched the "X-Men Movies App." Powered by the Victorious platform, the app is designed to bring fans of Fox's X-Men film franchise together in a place where they can share their fan made creations. The app is available free for download via Apple's App Store and the Google Play store.

Per the press release, the "X-Men Movies App" grants fans access to:

"X-Men is one of the most beloved franchises of our time and has some of the world's most passionate fans. Our expertise in growing engagement within fan communities combined with the diversity of the X-Men Movies world will make this app a go-to-destination for superfans," said Sam Rogoway, CEO and co-founder of Victorious in the press release. "We are thrilled to work with 20th Century Fox to mobilize the X-Men community in new and innovative ways."

To coincide with the app's launch, Fox is launching a contest to find the 100 biggest X-Men superfans. The five grand prize winners will each receive early fan screenings for them and their friends, X-Men gear, and have their own X-Men inspirations featured across the web. The details/rules are as follows:

The release of the new app is part of the lead up to X-Men: Apocalypse, the next installment of the Fox film franchise. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshiped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
