Jason David Frank, best known for starring as Tommy Oliver in Power Rangers, has shared a new look at his character Bloodshot in Ninjak vs. The Valiant Universe.
A super-soldier embedded with nanites in his blood granting him special powers, the violent and gun-toting Bloodshot has the ability to alter his body shape, communicate with machines and regenerate from any wound if he consumes an appropriate amount of matter.
The live-action web series from Valiant Digital and Bat in the Sun adapts Valiant Comics' titular universe, home to series like Magnus, Robot Fighter, X-O Manowar and Harbinger.
Ninjak, co-created by Mark Moretti and Marvel Chief Creative Officer Joe Quesada, is a weapons and martial arts expert and among the world's deadliest assassins.
Ninjak vs. The Valiant Universe pits the super-spy against the most powerful beings known to man, including Frank's Bloodshot, Derek Theler's X-O Manowar, Kevin Porter's Armstrong, John Morrison's Eternal Warrior, Ciera Foster's Livewire, and Chantelle Barry's Roku.
Following a string of delays, the web series is nearing its release and recently unveiled its official poster.
Michael Rowe, who plays the eponymous hero, told ComicBook.com Ninjak and Bloodshot have no problem throwing down.
"I think they've been waiting for this moment," Rowe explained. "It's really so fun to see how, with somebody like Bloodshot, how do you defeat him? It seems like he's indestructible. We'll see. It's not going to be easy. Ninjak takes a beating in the meantime, but there's some real fun dynamics to that scene."
Ninjak vs. The Valiant Universe hits sometime in 2018.
