Jennifer Lawrence Thinks It's Too Soon To Do Hunger Games Prequels

Despite Mockingjay Part 2 serving as the conclusion to The Hunger Games big screen equivalent to the novel's story, in the year 2015, franchises never die.
Lionsgate is a perfect example of this fact, having recently said they're planning on giving the Hunger Games franchise the Star Wars treatment with prequel films. However, in doing so, they'll have to do it without franchise and District revolution star, Jennifer Lawrence.
"I wouldn't be involved," Lawrence told Variety of the planned prequels. "I think it's too soon. They've got to let the body get cold, in my opinion."
Too soon? Just ask James Franco and Tobey Maguire about franchises going on or starting over without you. In this day and age of Hollywood, there's no such thing as too soon. Star Wars, on the other hand, waited 16 years to release its first prequel film and it remains the biggest franchise in the galaxy.
Would you like to revisit Panem prior to Katniss' revolution?
Lawrence's latest film, Joy, hits theaters December 25.
