Justice League Movie Officially Starts Filming In April

DC Films' Justice League - Part 1 will officially begin production on April 11. That's just two weeks after the release of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, with director Zack Snyder returning to helm the superhero team-up.

"The idea that we could begin to boot up a Justice League concept was a cool thing," says Snyder. "It was a little bit of an 'about time' moment, and I don't blame [the studio] for feeling that way, because it's a long time coming. But I do feel like it's a little bit of a creative hurdle. It seems like an easy thing to do at first glance, the idea that, 'Oh, we just get the rest of the superheroes in there.' But you have to [establish] a world where they can exist."

Justice League will shoot at Warner Bros. Leavesden studios in England and various other spots around London and Iceland.

Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice is set to open the floodgates for both Justice League movies and a slate of solo films for Wonder Woman, the Flash, and others.

"The studio really wants us to try and pace it up, as far as —now we have an idea where we're going," Snyder says.

Justice League will feature Superman (Henry Cavill), Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jaon Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) joining forces to battle an epic threat that so far remains unnamed.
