Warner Bros. has announced yet another LEGO franchise, this one from The Muppets writer Jason Segel and Iron Man 3 writer Drew Pearce. This will be the first feature film directed by either.
The film is called The Billion Brick Race, but further details are being kept under wraps for now. Following the success of The LEGO Movie, Warner Bros. has already dated a Ninjago movie for 2016, a LEGO Batman movie for 2017, and The LEGO Movie 2 for 2018.
Segel is a known comedic star, both on and off screen. He played Marhall Eriksen in CBS' How I Met Your Mother for nine seasons, and has starred in films like Forgetting Sarah Marshall. He's been branching out into writing, having penned the scripts for The Muppets and Sex Tape, as well as starring in both films.
Drew Pearce is best known for his writing, but did direct the Marvel One-Shot short film All Hail the King. Iron Man 3 remains his best known work, but he's also worked on Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation and Sherlock Holmes 3.
