A Minnesota man donned his stormtrooper armor and walked 501 miles to Comic-Con to honor his late wife.
Kevin Doyle and his wife were members of the 501st Legion, a group of hardcore Star Wars fans and stormtrooper cosplayers. His wife lost her fight with pancreatic cancer in 2012. When Doyle saw that the distance between the Star Wars museum in Petaluma and the San Diego Convention Center was 501 miles, he took it as a sign that he should mak ehte march to honor his wife.
Here's a report from Fox affiliate KDVR in Denver.
Doyle is hoping to raise awareness of his nonprofit Eileen's Angels, which he plans to use to send care packages to children fighting cancer.
