Mark Hamill Re-Growing Beard for Star Wars: Episode VIII Filming

Mark Hamill is re-growing the facial hair fans spotted him with during filming for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, donning the full beard once again for Star Wars: Episode VIII. The second movie in the new trilogy, written and directed by Rian Johnson, has already done some preliminary shooting in Ireland, and should be hitting full principal photography soon (likely after the promotional blitz for, and release of, The Force Awakens).
The actor, who plays Luke Skywalker in the franchise, tweeted that he started regrowing his beard "just in time" for the film, after shooting his second episode of The Flash. In that episode, his elder Trickster will team-up with other Rogues including Weather Wizard and Captain Cold.
Hamill - and more pointedly Luke's position in the new trilogy has been one of the largest mysteries as The Force Awakens races to theaters December 18, 2015. The character has only appeared (probably) in one teaser trailer, hooded and with his metal hand, and has appeared in zero posters, as well, prompting copious speculation about his appearance, allegiance, and more.
But at least we know he'll have a beard, and in some way or another, appear in Episode VIII.
