20th Century Fox has debuted a trailer preview for Maze Runner: The Death Cure, the third and final installment of the dystopian Maze Runner franchise. The trailer for the trailer confirms the actual trailer will premiere during the series finale of Teen Wolf on MTV Sunday, September 24 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT.

Fans recently got their first look at the bleak trilogy closer earlier this weekend. Maze Runner: The Death Cure will complete Fox's young adult franchise, an adaptation of author James Dashner's Maze Runner novel trilogy. 2014's The Maze Runner and its 2015 sequel, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, both proved worthwhile investments for the studio: director Wes Ball's first film launched the franchise with $348 million worldwide on a $34 million budget, while the followup brought in $312 million globally on a $61 million budget.

Early last year, production on the threequel was delayed when leading man Dylan O'Brien suffered injuries in an on-set accident. The actor suffered a concussion, a facial fracture and lacerations while filming a motorcycle stunt that knocked the then 25-year-old actor from the bike, rendering him unconscious.

Starring O'Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Nathalie Emmanuel, Will Pulter, Ki Hong Lee, Patricia Clarkson, Giancarlo Esposito, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Walton Goggins, Katherine McNamara and Barry Pepper, Maze Runner: The Death Cure races into theaters January 26.

In the epic finale to the Maze Runner saga, Thomas leads his group of escaped Gladers on their final and most dangerous mission yet. To save their friends, they must break into the legendary Last City, a WCKD-controlled labyrinth that may turn out to be the deadliest maze of all. Anyone who makes it out alive will get answers to the questions the Gladers have been asking since they first arrived in the maze.
