Michael J. Fox Tries On Self-Lacing Nike Mags On Back To The Future Day

In honor of Back To The Future Day, Nike sent Michael J. Fox the first ever pair of self-lacing Nike Mags. Of course, Fox wasted no time in trying on his self-lacing sneakers and sharing a video of exactly how the amazing shoes work.

After seeing the shoes in operation, Fox exclaimed, "That's insane."

According to Nike, Nike Mag's "power laces" combine the archetype invention with digital technology. The individually responsive system senses the wearer's motion to provide adaptive on-demand comfort and support.

In addition to sending Michael J. Fox a pair, Nike also announced the general public will have an opportunity to own a pair next year. The 2015 Nike Mag will be a limited edition release. It will only be available via auction, with all proceeds going to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research.
