New Fate Of The Furious Trailer Coming Soon

The big mystery of why Dom is turning on his Fast & Furious family will hopefully have some light shed on it in the newest trailer from The Fate Of The Furious, a trailer that is right around the corner.

The studio tweeted out a teaser for the trailer reveal, which will happen sometime tomorrow. Another hopeful for the new trailer is Helen Mirren, who up to this point has been absent from all the footage. The studio has been quiet on what her role is, but fans were filled in thanks to Fast & Furious alumni Luke Evans, who will be appearing in Disney's Beauty and the Beast later this month.

In an interview, he was asked whether his character might come back some day (he was last seen in a coma), and that is where he let slip about Mirren. "People come around from comas, so who knows? He's in a military hospital because he's the most wanted man in the world, but he's got a very powerful brother, and he's now got a mum as well, who's played by Helen Mirren." The fate of the Furious is currently holding a steady 3.50 out of 5 on ComicBook.com's anticipation rankings.

Now that Dom and Letty are on their honeymoon and Brian and Mia have retired from the game—and the rest of the crew has been exonerated—the globetrotting team has found a semblance of a normal life. But when a mysterious woman (Oscar® winner Charlize Theron) seduces Dom into the world of crime he can't seem to escape and a betrayal of those closest to him, they will face trials that will test them as never before.

For The Fate of the Furious, Vin Diesel is joined by a returning all-star cast that includes Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Nathalie Emmanuel, Elsa Pataky and Kurt Russell. In addition to Theron, the series welcomes newcomers Scott Eastwood and Oscar winner Helen Mirren. The film is directed by F. Gary Gray (Straight Outta Compton) and produced by returning producers Neal H. Moritz, Michael Fottrell, and Diesel.

The Fate of the Furious opens in theaters April 14, 2017.
