New Power Rangers Toy Images Show Off Alpha 5

The reaction to Alpha 5's recent redesign was divisive to be sure, even more so than the more alien like suits and Battle Zord designs. Now fans have a first look at the action figure, as well as closer looks at the Red, Pink, Black, Yellow, and Blue Rangers.

Courtesy of Ranger Nation, the newly released images can be located in the galley. As you can see, the Alpha 5 figure has an impressive level of detail in its armor, though the paint work leaves a bit to be desired. The colors are nowhere near as rich as the concept design, but then again this is a mass product movie line, so that is somewhat expected.

You can also see better looks at the five rangers, which all sport the same nice level of detailing in their suits but also face the same color palette problems as Alpha 5. Retailers will also be getting a Red Rangers FX mask, which actually looks pretty slick (via Toy News International).

"Saban's Power Rangers follows five ordinary teens who must become something extraordinary when they learn that their small town of Angel Grove - and the world - is on the verge of being obliterated by an alien threat. Chosen by destiny, our heroes quickly discover they are the only ones who can save the planet. But to do so, they will have to overcome their real-life issues and before it's too late, band together as the Power Rangers."

Power Rangers stars Bryan Cranston (Zordon), Elizabeth Banks (Rita Repulsa), Naomi Scott (Kimberly/Pink Ranger), David Denman (Sam Scott), Becky G. (Trini/Yellow Ranger), Sarah Grey (Amanda), RJ Cyler (Billy Cranston/Blue Ranger), Emily Maddison (Rebecca), Ludi Lin (Zack Taylor/Black Ranger), and Dacre Montgomery (Jason Lee Scott/Red Ranger).

Power Rangers is set to land in theaters on March 24, 2017.
