Robert Downey Jr.'s takeover of the social media world continues. After racking up over 24 million fans on Facebook and over 4 million followers on Twitter, Downey Jr. has set his sights on Instagram.

Downey Jr. joined Instagram earlier today, and he shared his first photo. In under an hour, Downey Jr. has amassed over 11 thousand followers on Instagram. A total that will surely rise quickly.

And what did Downey Jr. pick as his first photo to share on Instagram? Well, it's a photo of himself, his Avengers co-stars, and Jimmy Kimmel. The Avengers are all set to appear on Jimmy Kimmel Live later tonight to promote Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Avengers: Age of Ultron opens in movie theaters on May 1, 2015.
