Transformers: How Many Other Transformers In Bumblebee Spinoff Revealed

12/06/2016 03:50 pm EST

Even for the most critical of Transformers fans, it's hard to have negative things to say about the lovable Bumblebee, hence why he's getting his own solo film spinout in the near future.

While he's a crowd favorite, he most likely won't be the only Autobot to make an appearance in the film, though the jury is still out on who exactly will show up. During a recent set visit by Collider, the question was asked how many other Transformers are planned to make the trip over. Producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura doesn't see that number being very big, at least not at the moment.

The script is being written by Christina Hodson at the moment and is in the early stages, but he did say that the film does not have a lot of other Transformers in, but did point out that it could change as development progresses.

While the spotlight does need to be squarely on Bumblebee, you do need some other Autobots to help fill out the world. Any great character still needs other personalities to play off of, and this could be the perfect opportunity to introduce some new Transformers to the mix.

Before he gets his own solo project, Bumblebee will have to face some unexpected enemies, including from the looks of things Optimus Prime in Transformers: The Last Knight.

Transformers: The Last Knight is directed by Michael bay, and stars Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Isabela Moner, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro, Liam Garrigan, Jerrod Carmichael, Mitch Pileggi, Laura Haddock, Santiago Cabrera, and Anthony Hopkins.
