Some may think it's a no-brainer, but fans of the Fast and Furious franchise have been concerned its leads' futures. After all, when news broke that Vin Diesel and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson had feuded on-set, many wondered if the duo could work out their issues. Diesel has been the face of Fast and Furious for years now, and Johnson's growing part in the franchise has brought all sorts of box-office bank to the films. Many fans grew worried the pair's spat may endanger the future of Fast and Furious, but if one recent report is correct, then those fears may be unfounded.

According to TMZ (via ScreenRant), a source close to the films has said both Diesel and Johnson are in talks to return for Fast & Furious 9. The report goes on to say the two actors have met on a few occasions to work out their differences. So far, there has been no official explanation for the duo's beef, but rumors have long said the animosity sparked over which star would get the largest role. The new report says that Johnson ultimately conceded the limelight to Diesel as an appeasement, but neither camp has commented on the story.

Given the recent success of the Fate of the Furious, fans should not be too surprised to hear the pair have an interest in making everything workout. The eighth Fast and Furious film had the highest-grossing global opening weekend of any film to date. The feature has already earned over half a billion dollars, and Universal Pictures will want to capitalize on the franchise and its biggest stars for as long as it can.

Now that Dom and Letty are on their honeymoon and Brian and Mia have retired from the game — and the rest of the crew has been exonerated — the globetrotting team has found a semblance of a normal life.
