Fear The Walking Dead: What Happened To Ofelia Revealed

Potential spoilers for Fear the Walking Dead follow.

As Fear the Walking Dead's third season rolls on, fans are reluctant to trust newcomer Jeremiah Otto. The character in charge of Broke Jaw Ranch appears to have a dark past, one which he opened up about on Sunday night, but fans have one grip against him still.

Many members of Fear the Walking Dead's audience suspect the character played by Sons of Anarachy alum Dayton Callie to have Ofelia Salazar as a hostage somewhere at Broke Jaw Ranch. Either that, or they suspect he killed her. The two crossed paths in the Season 2 finale of Fear the Walking Dead and she has not been seen since.

However, neither of those scenarios are the true story of what happened after Jeremiah encountered Ofelia.

The actor revealed what happened in the moments which followed their encounter during an exclusive interview.

"I found her in the desert," Callie said. "Took her and had a brief conversation with her and left her in the desert to die, or not die. It's up to her, whatever she is. So, I'm not holding her hostage or anything so people can rest assured of that, but whether someone else has her, that's not my business. I kind of vetted her out in the desert and decided she's better off in the desert than back at the camp."

Realizing Ofelia was not a threat is likely what prompted Jeremiah to leave her alone in the desert. He is constantly preparing for battle, though, as the new threat of Walker and his group was introduced to fans on Sunday night wanting to claim Broke Jaw Ranch. "Am I going to defend it? Yeah," Callie said. "It's like you own a house, you going to defend it? Yeah you're going to defend it. If you can if you're capable. I'm hoping we're capable. I got to get the other idiots to believe in it."
