The BBC and Fathom Events are bringing the 2015 Doctor Who Christmas Special to theaters for a two-night event on Dec. 28 & 29.

The special stars Peter Capaldi as the Doctor, and Alex Kingston returning as River Song, the Doctor's wife. The event will also feature an exclusive interview with Kingston, plus a 15-minute behind-the-scenes "making of" featurette with Capaldi and showrunner Steven Moffat.

Tickets for the event go on sale Nov. 13 at the Fathom Events website and participating theater box offices.

Here's the event synopsis:

It's Christmas Day in the future and the TARDIS is parked on a snowy village street, covered in icicles, awaiting its next adventure. Time traveler River Song meets her husband's new incarnation, in the form of Peter Capaldi, for the first time this Christmas.

Doctor Who airs Saturdays at 9 p.m. ET on BBC America.
