Adventure Time Is Getting An Official Cookbook

Good Glob! If you're a fan of food and Adventure Time, then Insight Editions has the book for you. The publisher is developing an official cookbook based on the world of Adventure Time, and it will include some delicious meals straight from the Land of Ooo.

Adventure Time: The Official Cookbook can come to a kitchen near you when it drops later this year. The 112-page book will include recipes which Finn found in the library at Founders' Island.

"In the Founders' Island Library, Finn discovered the remains of an old cookbook filled with dishes such as "lasagna" and "boiled eggs." And he was pretty sure that the cookbook had belonged to his mom at some point. Weird.

But a lot of the pages had been lost to the cruel sands of time. So Finn took it upon himself to fill up the book with as many crazy delicious food ideas as he could. And since that only filled around six pages, he recruited Jake, Marceline, Princess Bubblegum, and the other citizens of Ooo to help complete the cookbook. There was pouring! There was mixing! There was a pasta-related Wizard Battle!

Are you ready to feast your eyes and prepare your stomach for the most awesome, most delixious meals this side of the Candy Kingdom? Grab your friends and start cooking, Ooo-style, with Adventure Time: The Official Cookbook."

The cookbook is being penned by three authors who definitely know how to merry culinary delights with the quirkiness of Adventure Time. Jordan Grosser is a 13-year veteran in the food industry as a chef and restaurant consultant. Christopher Hastings will provide art and text for the book while Andria Lo is a freelance food photographer. You can check out some sample pages of the book in our photo gallery below!

Of course, this isn't the first Adventure Time piece that Insight Editions has worked on. The publisher released Adventure Time: Hero Time with Finn and Jake this July, a novel that details the duo's secret quests. "Passed back and forth between Finn and Jake during their adventures, this battle-scarred notebook details their tips on rescuing princesses, exploring deadly dungeons, and performing other generally heroic deeds.

Sadly, the upcoming cookbook will preface the end of Adventure Time. The book, which hits shelves this November, will be published just months before the series ends. Cartoon Network confirmed the beloved animated show will wrap in 2018.

"Adventure Time changed the definition of what a kids' TV series could be, and it's had a resounding impact upon popular culture around the world," said Rob Sorcher, chief content officer for Cartoon Network. "Cartoon Network Studios is proud to have brought together this group of brilliant artists and animators who helped make Adventure Time one of the most critically acclaimed TV series of a generation."

Adventure Time: The Official Cookbook will go on sale November 29, 2016.
