Avengers: Age Of Ultron Scores $27.6 Million Preview Night

The age of usurpation has begun.
The numbers are in for Avengers: Age of Ultron's preview night, and they're big. Earning $27.6 million during Thursday night 7:00 p.m. showings, Age of Ultron ran laps around 2012's The Avengers, which only made $18.7 million on late night previews. The $27.6 million places Ultron's preview night as the sixth highest-grossing in the U.S., with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow: Part 2 leading the list at $43.5 million.
With more than $300 million already banked in the foreign box office, many expect Age of Ultron to blow every Avengers figure out of the water. In fact, some analysts think that the film could reach $2 billion globally before leaving theaters. The Avengers only achieved $1.5 billion.
