Here's something you should know: Chris Daughtry is a huge comic book fan. Don't believe me? Just watch (the video below).
On Monday, Daughtry attended the World Premiere of Marvel's Ant-Man in Hollywood. We caught up with the American Idol himself at the event and it turns out, Daughtry is a welcome-member of our geek community. In fact, he even had ComicBook.com open on his cell phone when we met!
"I dress up from time to time just for fun," Daughtry opened up with when telling us about his comic book fandom. He also admitted to making the mistake of wearing an epic Batman costume to Comic Con while trying to dodge fans. "One of the reasons I wanted to do it was because I wanted to be in there with my son and I don't want to get bothered. Turns out: nobody cares about Chris Daughtry but when you're in a Batman mask, everybody wants a picture," he said.
He reluctantly admitted at the Marvel premiere that his favorite super hero is Batman but added, "I'm a huge Paul Rudd fan," so the excitement for Ant-Man was certainly there. Staying with Batman though, Daughtry is super excited for Batman v. Superman and Ben Affleck's take on Bruce Wayne. "I can't effin' wait! He looks the part! I love the voice modulator. I cried man tears when I first saw that trailer."

Ant-Man hits theaters July 17!
