Comic Con Voted More Important Than The Chargers In San Diego Poll

The San Diego Union-Tribune recently conducted a poll that asked San Diegans which was more important to them: Comic-Con or their local NFL team the Chargers?
With over 5,000 votes tallied so far, voters overwhelmingly favor Comic-Con. 60 percent (3229 votes) of voters believe the 4-day event is more important to the city than their professional football team.
What makes the poll so interesting is that both Comic-Con and the Chargers have been flirting with the notion of leaving San Diego. Chargers ownership has been meeting with Los Angeles officials regarding a change in venue. Comic-Con had been threatening to leave town as well, but a deal was struck last Thursday that will keep it in San Diego for two more years.
