The Arkham Knight is getting his own origin story. After the release of the already-a-hit game in June, DC Comics is following up their digital-first tie-in series with a six-issue mini-series in print. The comic, written by Peter J. Tomasi and with art from Alison Borges (with a main cover by Stjepan Sejic), will tell the secret origin of the titular villain in Batman: Arkham Knight - Genesis.

"Witness the birth of Gotham City's newest villain, the Arkham Knight, in this stunning new 6-issue miniseries written by Peter J. Tomasi, the man behind the hit series BATMAN: ARKHAM KNIGHT and BATMAN AND ROBIN!" says DC's official description.

Ahead of the August 5, 2015 release, DC Comics has provided ComicBook.com an exclusive first look at the two variant covers. The first uses imagery from the game, developed by Rocksteady Studios. The second is a special colored version of a sketch Jim Lee did for Rocksteady's Jamie Walker as a gift celebrating the game's release.

Check out the variant covers (and the Sejic main cover) in the gallery below, and ask your local comic book shop how to order them.
