EXCLUSIVE: Bruce Timm Covers Invincible Iron Man #1 Variant

Marvel Comics has supplied Comicbook.com with an exclusive first look at legendary artist Bruce Timm's Invincible Iron Man #1 variant cover.
As eagle-eyed readers can tell, Timm's cover pays homage to the first-ever issue of Invincible Iron Man, from 1968. Illustrated by legendary artist Gene Colan, the original cover is one of the most iconic Iron Man's history. So it's a good thing Marvel contracted Timm, a comics icon in his own right, to recreate the image.
As the first flagship series in Marvel's upcoming "All-New, All-Different" publishing initiative, Invincible Iron Man #1's pre-orders have already topped 250,000 from retailers across the country, making it one of Shellhead's best premieres ever.
Written by Brian Michael Bendis and illustrated by David Marquez, Invincible Iron Man #1 arrives on October 7. Check out the full cover in the gallery below!
