EXCLUSIVE: Deadpool Vs. Gambit Announced By Marvel

Marvel's "Merc with a mouth" and their Cajun charmer are headed for a collision this summer. Today at the ComicsPRO retailer summit, Marvel Comics announced Deadpool vs. Gambit, a new miniseries revealing the secret, shared history of Wade Wilson and Remy LeBeau.

Writers and Ben Acker & Ben Blacker (Thunderbolts) and artist Danilo Beyruth (Gwenpool) will tell tales of Deadpool and Gambit's time as conmen working together on jobs just long enough to stab each other in the back. While details remain under wraps for now, it turns out Wade and Remy have known each for a long time.

Kevin Wada (She-Hulk) will provide covers for each of the five issues. You can see his full cover for Deadpool vs. Gambit #1 below.

With Ryan Reynolds' Deadpool movie currently dominating the box office, Deadpool vs. Gambit sounds like the perfect series to hold fans over until Channing Tatum's Gambit movie is released.

Deadpool vs. Gambit #1 hits store shelves this June.
