Five Nights At Freddy's World Teaser Trailer Released

Five Nights at Freddy's developer Scott Cawthon uploaded a trailer last night for Five Nights at Freddy's World, the upcoming RPG spin-off of the popular horror franchise, and...what the actual hell am I looking at?

With combat animation that's a throwback to a simpler time in gaming and strange-slash-adorable creatures at the game's center, Five Nights at Freddy's World is a hell of a divergence from what Cawthon has gotten his audience used to.

The teaser is so uncharacteristic of the franchise that Gamespot actually wondered in their headline whether Cawthon is "trolling" his audience, but he had previously said that the game wouldn't be a standard FNAF horror offering, so...maybe this is what he was teasing all along?

Five Nights at Freddy's World is due out sometime in 2016.
