In just a few months, HBO is slated to premiere their newest series Westworld to the excitement of countless viewers. Westworld stands to thrill both fans and critics as its story alters that which was first created by Michael Critchton for a film in 1973. After 40 years, the sci-fi thriller is returning to show fans what it would be like if the robot inhabitants of the theme park 'Westworld' became the story's heroes. And, now, HBO has released their second full trailer for the series ahead of its impending release.

The gorgeous new trailer spotlights footage from throughout the Westworld's first season as viewers see characters such as Dolores Abernathy (Evan Rachel Wood) and Dr. Robert Ford (Anthony Hopkins) in action. Featuring sprawling wideshots and dialogue snippets, Westworld's trailer reveals more about its main conflict as viewers can see tension mounting between the futuristic theme parks 'hosts' and their creators. The facility's primary programmer comes in the form of Anthony Hopkins who treats his creations with cool, calculated omnipotence. At one point, the actor's unmistakable voice can be heard saying, "our creatures are misbehaving," before the trailer's end leaves Dr. Robert Ford telling Dolores he doesn't consider them friends - not at all.

As for Dolores, viewers briefly see how the bright young woman changes once she learns more about the insidious world she lives in. After discovering her home is nothing more than a lie, Dolores is drawn into a growing battle between The Man in Black and the park's overseers. The trailer also spotlights characters like James Marsden's Teddy Flood and Jeffrey Wright's Bernard Lowe. After all, it is Bernard who tells Dolores the truth, explaining that herself and everyone she knows was "built to gratify the desires of people who pay to visit your world."

Produced by Jonathan Nolan (Person of Interest, Interstellar) and Lisa Joy (Pushing Daisies), Westworld is about "a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the future of sin" which "explores a world in which every human appetite, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged." Nolan discussed the series' core conflict in further detail with Entertainment Weekly, saying, "The 'hosts' are discovering that they've been created in our image, but beginning to question if 'humanness' is really what they want to aspire to and given their circumstances, it's easy to understand why they start to question whether they want to be like us at all."

Westworld is schedule to premiere on HBO on October 2nd 2016.
