Jon Watts And Kevin Bacon Talk Cop Car And A Little Bit Spider-Man
08/07/2015 11:43 am EDT
This weekend sees the opening of director Jon Watt's latest film, Cop Car. The indie thriller follows two young kids who seemingly find an abandoned cop car and decide to take it for a spin. Except when the car belongs to the county sheriff, played by Kevin Bacon, things go from great to downright frightening.
ComicBook.com had the chance to sit down with the future Spider-Man director, and Kevin Bacon to talk a bit about the movie and what fans can expect from this thrill ride. Throughout the film, you'll see that Bacon does a bit of running and over the course of the interview, Watts admits that he might have had Kevin do a bit more then he needed to. There is a lot of Jon Watts in this film, including how growing up in Chicago influenced the film and its characters.
Now, given that Kevin Bacon already looks great with a mustache, and Watts might need a certain mustachioed Editor In Chief, we asked the two what the chances are of Kevin playing the role of J. Jonah Jameson.
"I don't know, we're just sitting down to write the script now," Watts answered. But if it does happen - you will have heard it here first at ComicBook.com!
Finally - the two give their hopes in what audiences hope to take away from the film and Kevin's character.
