Jurassic World Teases Indominus Rex

Jurassic World has finally revealed details on Indominus Rex, the genetically-enhanced dinosaur that's bound to stalk, hunt, and kill anything that moves in this summer's film.

The official information comes through a viral marketing campaign launched on Jurassic World's website today. On the webpage, an official "profile" on Indominus Rex is made available for would-be Jurassic Park attendees. In the profile, Indominus Rex is revealed to be—surprise!—a carnivorous dinosaur with "very high" levels of aggression. The site also explains what the dinosaur's puzzling name means—"Fierce or Untamable King."

The viral page provides a slew of additional information, like the the different species that contribute to Indominus' spliced genetic makeup, the speed at which it can move (fast), and more. All of the information on Indominus Rex can be viewed here.

But for all the details the site provides, it still doesn't reveal a money shot of Indominus. So far, all it provides is a silhouetted profile of the dinosaur, leaving its finer details a mystery. Still, even the silhouette shows that Indominus is going to be one mean old dinosaur. Just look at those spikes. But don't get too upset, a detailed view of Indominus will likely come during this weekend's Superbowl trailer for Jurassic World.

Jurassic World, starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, opens on June 12th.
