New Pokemon Movie Trailer Features Scary, Evil Ash

Looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the Pokeball.
In a new Japanese trailer for the upcoming Pokémon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages, Pokemon star Ash Ketchum enters the dark (purple) side after exposure to a evil energy. Of course, this isn't the first time the Pokemon poster boy has flirted with villainy—he sported a similarly mean mug when he was possessed in the Pokemon episode "Battling the Enemy Within." While we don't think Ash will be applying for a Team Rocket membership before the upcoming movie is over, we do hope this problem can be fixed with a little more nuance than a trip to the Pokemon Center.
Check out the trailer, which features tons of Legendary Pocket Monsters, below.
Pokémon the Movie: Hoopa and the Clash of Ages hits Japan on July 18.
