Power Rangers Official First Look Released

It's Morphin Time! Here it is ladies and gentlemen, your first look at the cast of Power Rangers together for the first time in official still from Lionsgate.

Featuring Becky G, RJ Cyler, Naomi Scott, Ludi Lin & Dacre Montgomery, the new photo gives fans of the franchise a glimpse into the modern day retelling of a group of teenagers with attitude destined to save Earth.

What's interesting to note is that according to the director, Dean Israelite, this story is going to reflect the lives of teens today and this group are "disenfranchised and disparate" high schoolers, who are not friends when the new story begins. In the original, the opposite was true.

"From the very beginning, diversity was a very important part of the whole process," Israelite told EW. "We switched all of the races around, but we made sure that the essence of each of those characters are who they were in the original show, and this really will be an origin story of those characters."
