Last Sunday, fans around the world eagerly awaited for the BBC to debut the long-awaited premiere of Sherlock Season 4. The drama has been on a lengthy hiatus barring a holiday special, and fans were excited to see Benedict Cumberbatch return as the infamous Sherlock Holmes. "The Six Thatchers" kicked off with a literal bang and wail before the premiere ended with one of the franchise's most shocking moments. In just a few days, the next episode of Season 4 is set to debut, but the show's creators are looking ahead ever further.

In a recent interview with TV Line, Sherlock's co-creator and star Mark Gatiss talked a bit about the current season's finale. It was there that the actor said the last episode of Season 4 will be the most action-packed of the entire series.

"There is quite a lot of action," Gatiss teased. "Episode 3 is probably more action-packed than we've done for a long time, if ever. Definitely more fighting."

Continuing, Gatiss also spared a moment to speak about the second episode's villain Culverton Smith. The media mogul is played by Toby Smith, and the co-creator warned fans that the baddie is nauseating.

"He's a very 21st-century villain, and without hyperbole, one of the scariest things we've ever done," he explained. "Toby is absolutely terrifying."

Here's the synopsis for Sherlock's next episode "The Lying Detective:"

"In episode two of this new series, written by Steven Moffat, Sherlock faces perhaps the most chilling enemy of his long career: the powerful and seemingly unassailable Culverton Smith - a man with a very dark secret indeed."
