Suicide Squad's Cara Delevingne Says Generally Superhero Movies Are Sexist

Adding another voice to the ongoing conversation about superhero films -- and big-budget action films in general -- and how they treat female characters, Suicide Squad actress Cara Delevingne says that superhero movies are "totally sexist."

Speaking with Empire magazine (via Yahoo!), the actress said, "There are only three girls in Suicide Squad but in my opinion they have the best roles. Generally though, superhero movies are totally sexist."

"Female superheroes are normally naked or in bikinis," she continued. "No one would be able to fight like that. Wonder Woman, how the hell does she fight? She would be dead in a minute."

Delevingne will star alongside a number of A-list stars including Will Smith, Margot Robbie and Jared Leto in Suicide Squad, due in theaters next August.
