Supergirl: Hostile Takeover Synopsis Released

Both Supergirl and Cat Grant are dealing with some stryfe in two weeks, as the likely midseason finale for Supergirl sees the return of Kara's Aunt Astra while Cat struggles to keep control of her company.

CBS released the official synopsis for the episode, titled "Hostile Takeover," tonight"

Kara goes toe-to-toe with Astra when her aunt challenges Kara's beliefs about her mother. Also, Cat is threatened with being removed as the CEO of CatCo after a hacker exposes her private and damaging emails, on SUPERGIRL, Monday, Dec. 14 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Given recent history, it seems likely that the takeover attempt would come from Maxwell Lord; there aren't many characters introduced so far with both the technical skills necessary and the complicated relationship with Cat Grant to make it logical...although Winslow "Toyman" Schott is another possibility.

Supergirl airs at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS Mondays.
