The Complete X-Files: A Look Into The Unpredictable Run of 2016

From 1993 to 2002, the stories of FBI Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully took the sci-fi world by storm. More than just a cult addiction, The X-Files had become a cultural phenomenon.

The success of the series earned the franchise two theatrical films, released in 1998 and 2008. After the latter was finished its time in theaters, many thought that was the end of The X-Files.

Much to everyone's surprise, original series creator, Chris Carter, announced the franchise would return as a mini-series in 2016.

The move was a shock, to say the least, but fans of the series were beyond ecstatic.

Additionally, both of the series leads, played by David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson, would be returning for the revival. The series consisted of six episodes which aired in January and February of 2016.

While audiences were excited for the rebirth of their favorite series, the details of Fox's decision to bring it back remained a mystery. Since most of the series took place in the 90s, before the Internet was easily accessed, many production aspects of the original series have stayed secretive.

This October, Insight Editions brings X-Files fans a chance to dive much deeper into the world they love, and discover some of its greatest secrets.

The Complete X-Files is the only authorized debriefing of the entire franchise, including both the series and the films.

The book will feature insider information about the series, behind the scenes photos and stories, exclusive interviews from Chris Carter & the cast, breakdowns of popular episodes, and explanations of unsolved plots that were never revealed to audiences.
