Vincent D'Onofrio In Talks For CHiPs Reboot's Main Villain

Vincent D'Onofrio must have a thing for villains.
The actor is currently in talks to play the villain for Warner Bros' feature film remake of CHiPs, a 1970s cop show. This, of course, follows D'Onofrio's acclaimed turn as Wilson "The Kingpin" Fisk on Netflix & Marvel's Daredevil.
CHiPs told the story of two California highway police motorcycle officers, Jon Baker and Frank Poncherello, who were also close friends. The series ran for six seasons, and starred Erik Estrada, Robert Pine, and Larry Wilcox.
If chosen as the chief antagonist, D'Onofrio would clash against actors Dax Shepard and Michael Pena, who are playing Jon Baker and Frank Poncherello, respectively. D'Onofrio's character is described as an ex-cop who now leads an exotic char theft ring.
What do you think, readers? Would you like to see D'Onofrio jump from the streets of Hells Kitchen to the shores of California? Let us know in the comments.
