Fan Art Friday: The Charming Artwork Of Andry Shango

If you've ever had a day that just won't end, regardless of how many times you check the clock, you might need a little pick-me-up. Granted, this art from Andry Shango won't make the clock tick faster, but it's hard not to smile a bit more after perusing his gallery.

That's because there are few more charming art styles than Shango's (real name Andry Rajoelina), a mix of cartoon stylized characters with watercolor washes for effect. You might recognize Shango's work from the superhero family series that made the rounds for awhile there. That line has grown considerably to not just include superheroes, but also gaming characters and ones from famous films. Still, Shango's superhero work is worth bringing back to your attention, as he continues to add to his portfolio with new pieces like his Lego Dynamic Duo piece, which spotlights the Batman and Robin from the upcoming LEGO Batman Movie.

He's also started a new series of pieces titled "few seconds before", where he depicts a scene from famous films and properties before iconic moments changed them forever. Things like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before their transformation into the ninja's fans know and love, or Jurassic Park before the T-Rex showed up to save the day.

You can view a few highlights in the gallery, and for more of Shango's work you can head to his Deviant Art, Tumblr, Facebook, and Blogspot pages.
